The eligibility criteria to apply for Swavalamban Yojna is that the youth should:
Be from Maheshwari community - Between- 18 to 25 years age*
- Belongs to Maharashtra
- Be Willing to enroll for a period – up to 2 years
- Be Financially less privileged and deprived of education
- No educational requirements
Swavlamban Yojna also ensures that students are provided with lodging and boarding facilities at MVPM’S hostel along with required financial aid with the expectation that once the student starts earning through a regular job or a business activity s starts repaying the funds spent on her in convenient instalments which can in turn be used for supporting the new applicants.
* Age limit can be relaxed for deserving cases
